District Announcements
New Website Coming June 8th

Dorchester School District Two is proud to announce the launch of our new website platform. On June 8th, 2015 we will transition from our current School Fusion platform to Edline.  In order to make the transition successful for all of our users, we are encouraging parents, students and staff to save any personal files currently stored on School Fusion to an alternate location.  As of June 8th, you will no longer be able to access websites or files on School Fusion. Please see the attached document for instructions on saving personal files.

Thanks to community feedback, we have organized our new websites to allow for ease of navigation in order to effectively communicate with the Dorchester School District Two community.  Parents will have the ability to quickly access up-to-date information on what is happening in the district and their child’s school.  We will keep you informed regarding web site features and the progress of the transition.

A message from Dorchester District 2
Dorchester School District Two would like to correct the perception regarding a possible make up day for the school closure on February 24th.  It has been determined that the district does meet the criteria of recently passed state legislation that allows local school boards to waive make-up days.  Our school board gladly acted on this matter tonight in a called meeting and waived the make-up day. Therefore, Friday, May 29th, will be a half-day and the last day of school for students as originally scheduled.  Thank you to our legislative delegation led by Representatives Jenny Horne and Chris Murphy and Senator Sean Bennett for supporting this bill and for sponsoring an additional bill on our behalf.  You can visit our web site for a link to the approved legislation.  Thank you to parents and staff for your patience as this matter was resolved in the best interest of our students.  Have a wonderful summer.
Early Release Friday May 29
Friday May 29 is an early release day for all schools.  ROMS students will be dismissed at 12:30 on Friday.
*    If your student will be going home a different way than usual, a note signed by a parent must be turned in to the front office by the end of the day on Wednesday so that signatures may be verified in time.
*    Transportation changes will not be accepted on Friday.
*   Students who do not normally walk home, will not be allowed to walk home unless they have a note signed by a parent.
*    Students who are being signed out early on Friday must be picked up by 11:45
